REPORT OF THE NEWSPAPER "SEMIRECHENSKAYA PRAVDA" ON THE WORK OF THE I PISHPEK DISTRICT CONGRESS OF THE RCSM


Verney, August 17, 1920,

From July 28 to August 2, the 1st district congress of the RCSM took place in Pishpek. The congress was represented by 27 organizations uniting 700 young proletarians.

There were 42 delegates present at the congress, including 27 Turks, 15 Russians, 5 girls, and 16 party members. By social composition, the delegates were divided as follows: 30 peasants, 4 students, and 6 Soviet employees. Among them, 4 had secondary education, 33 had lower education, and 5 were illiterate.

The congress adopted a resolution on the current situation.

It recognizes the main task of youth as the struggle on the labor front.

According to documents from the local areas, there was a complete disconnection of cells from the district committee and a lack of active workers in rural organizations.

A resolution was adopted stating that the district committee should send the best workers to the villages and introduce universal education in the cells.

A district committee was elected consisting of: Comrades Podvarkov, Stalnov, Tsapeshko, Yengalychev, Popova, Safiulin, Bortkevich.

The congress had a tremendous unifying significance for the organization of youth in the Pishpek district.
