REPORT FROM THE NEWSPAPER "SOVIET KYRGYZSTAN" ON THE OPENING OF THE CENTRAL MUSEUM OF KYRGYZSTAN
Frunze, March 14, 1927
In the house where M.V. Frunze used to live, the central museum has been opened. The museum has interesting exhibits related to the life of Comrade Frunze in our region: there are some papers written in his hand, documents that speak of his exceptional abilities in learning (Frunze received the highest grade - five - in all subjects previously taught in gymnasiums).
There are many items recovered from the bottom of Lake Issyk-Kul and generally related to the life and customs of the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and its nature.
Currently, the museum is not very extensive, but many more exhibits are expected to arrive from Alma-Ata and other places.
A library-reading room with an exclusively scientific selection of books is planned to be opened at the museum.
