FROM THE PROTOCOL OF THE MEETING OF THE BUREAU OF THE FRUNZE CITY COMMITTEE OF THE VKP(b) ON THE ORGANIZATION OF THE BOTANICAL GARDEN AND ZOO IN THE CITY OF FRUNZE

... Heard: §9 - On the organization of the botanical garden and zoo in the city of Frunze.
Resolved:
1. To withdraw the former Trentyev Garden along with all buildings on this site from the jurisdiction of Gormestkhoz and Zelenstroy.
2. To organize on the basis of the former Trentyev Garden:
a) a botanical garden,
b) a zoo.
3. To assign the organization of the botanical garden to Gorono, and the organization of the zoo to the Kirbaza Zoo Center.
4. To commence the organization of the botanical garden and zoo starting from the middle of the 2nd quarter of 1936, and to instruct Gorono, comrade Shchipkova, and the Zoo Center base, comrade Zhadan, to outline specific measures for the organization of the zoo and botanical garden and submit them for approval to the bureau of the OK VKP(b) on May 3 of this year.
5. To obligate Gormestkhoz, personally comrade Yakovlev, to lay out the territory of the Trentyev Garden, temporarily allocating 3 hectares for the zoo and 2 hectares for the botanical garden.
Simultaneously, to prepare a plan for the gradual relocation and eviction of all external residents from the territory of the Zoo and Botanical Garden.
6. To instruct the party group of the City Council to include in the construction plan for 1937 measures for the Zoo and Botanical Garden.
7. To seek funding in 1936 for preparatory activities, the preparation of estimates and projects, as well as for partial implementation of works in 1936.
8. To direct the funds obtained in 1936 from the operation of the Trentyev Garden towards the organization of the botanical garden.
9. To instruct the party group of the City Council to formalize this decision in the Soviet manner and submit it for approval to the SNK of the Kirghiz ASSR,
