FROM THE RESOLUTION OF THE BUREAU OF THE FRUNZE CITY COMMITTEE OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY (BOLSHEVIKS) OF KYRGYZSTAN "ON THE PROGRESS OF CITY COMMUNAL CONSTRUCTION"

... 2. Obligate Kirgosstroy (Comrade Bezel) to complete construction and commission the main construction facilities by the following deadlines:
a) sanitation checkpoint No. 2 by April 15, 1942;
b) a 16-apartment building by July 1 -//-;
c) a 10-room residential building by May 1 -//-.
Within 5 days, develop schedules for the completion of construction works on these facilities.
3. Obligate Gorcommunal and Gorvodoprovod (Comrade Sukharev):
a) to immediately start and complete the construction of a water reservoir with a capacity of 1250 cubic meters by June 1 of this year, and to develop a schedule for the completion of construction works on this facility within 3 days;
b) to complete the construction of a new drainage system within 15 days to obtain at least an additional 100 liters of water per second.
4. Obligate Comrade Smirnov to daily supervise the progress of city construction, providing practical assistance to construction organizations in the timely execution of construction works. Starting from the 25th of this month, allocate the necessary amount of transport daily for the construction of the reservoir, artesian well, and sanitation checkpoints.
5. Obligate FOGES (Comrade Kakh) to restore the power supply system of TPP No. 2 with canal water (pump cooling tower, settling tanks, water pipeline) to full working order within 10 days and to fully switch the power station to canal water and from the cooling tower starting April 5 of this year.
6. Obligate the director of plant No. 60, Comrade Tarasenko, and the chief engineer, Comrade Vorobyov, to technically work out the issue of providing plant No. 60 with canal water for production purposes.
7. Request the Central Committee of the Communist Party (Bolsheviks) of Kyrgyzstan:
a) to obligate the Geological Management to drill an artesian well in the area of the head structure of the Gorvodoprovod by no later than July 15 of this year;
b) to obligate Gosplan to immediately allocate the materials necessary for the construction of sanitation checkpoints, the reservoir, artesian well, and residential buildings in the city of Frunze.

REPORT FROM THE NEWSPAPER "SOVIET KYRGYZSTAN" ON THE CREATION OF A BRANCH OF THE ALL-UNION SOCIETY OF PHYSIOLOGISTS, BIOCHEMISTS, AND PHARMACOLOGISTS IN FRUNZE

The All-Union Society of Physiologists, Biochemists, and Pharmacologists is one of the oldest scientific societies in the Soviet Union. It was founded in early 1917 by Academician I.P. Pavlov.
At the initiative of the Department of Biological Sciences of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, a branch of this society was established in Frunze. On March 20, an organizational meeting was held, during which a board was elected. It included professors from the Kyrgyz Medical Institute N.S. Kharchenko, I.I. Ivanov, A.D. Slonim, a professor from the Agricultural Institute Barumin, and a graduate student from the Pedagogical Institute Karim Chukin.
At this meeting, the vice-president of the All-Union Board of the society, Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences H.S. Koshtoyants, delivered a report. He spoke about the results of his many years of experimental work in the field of the physiology of the nervous system.
