VOLGAREV Alexander Ivanovich Civil engineer.
Born in 1907 in the village of Zarechye, Kirillovsky District, Vologda Oblast, RSFSR.
In 1937, he graduated from the Moscow Correspondence Engineering and Construction Institute, Faculty of Industrial and Civil Construction. He began his career in 1920. He worked as a teacher, technician, design engineer, and expert in the expert bodies of the architecture management of the Council of Ministers of the Kyrgyz SSR.
Since 1961, he was the head of the design and engineering department of the metallurgical plant of the Kyrgyz SSR.
Since 1967, he has been a pensioner. He was awarded the medal "For Valorous Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945" (1946), a Certificate of Honor from the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR (1951), and a Jubilee Medal "For Valorous Labor, in Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of V. I. Lenin" (1970).
Member of the Union of Architects of the USSR since 1943.
MAIN CONSTRUCTIONS 1933. 16 four-apartment and 7 sixteen-apartment residential buildings and 10 dormitories in the city of Dzhambul, Kazakh SSR;
1942–1944. Workshops of the agricultural machinery plant in the city of Frunze: forging and pressing, foundry;
1946. Diesel power station in the city of Jalal-Abad; 1950. Locomobile power station in the city of Jalal-Abad;
1951. Administrative building of the hemp-jute factory in the city of Frunze;
1956. Complex of buildings of the cement plant in the settlement of Kurmenty.
MAIN PROJECTS 1935. Hydroelectric power station with a capacity of 800 kilowatts on the Talas River;
1940. Residential building for artists with 75 apartments in the city of Frunze; Morphological building of the Medical Institute in the city of Frunze; 1946. Palace of Culture in the city of Frunze.
