GOLOVANEV Alexander Andrianovich

Architect.
Born in 1916 in the city of Almaty in a working-class family. He began his labor activity at the age of twelve.
In 1937, he graduated from the Frunze Construction Technical School. After completing his studies, he worked on construction sites for the OCS "Kyrgyzconsumerunion" and the city executive committee of Frunze.
In 1938, he was invited to work at the design institute "Kyrgyzgosproject" (now "Kyrgyzgiprostroy"). Having a penchant for architecture, he independently studied the theory of architecture in full. Before the war, he worked in the field of rural architecture.
In 1939, he was drafted into the ranks of the Soviet Army.
In 1946, after demobilization, he returned to the same institute. He initially worked as a technician-architect, then as an architect, senior architect, head of department, chief architect of the workshop, and from 1970, as the chief architect of projects.
Since 1980, he has been a pensioner.
For his continuous and long-standing impeccable work at the design institute, he was repeatedly awarded honorary certificates from the institute and the State Construction Committee of the Kyrgyz SSR, medals for "Valiant Labor" and "Labor Distinction," "Veteran of Labor," and medals commemorating the victory in the Great Patriotic War and the Armed Forces of the USSR.
Member of the Union of Architects of the USSR since 1947.
Throughout his long and fruitful creative life, he created numerous projects for residential and public buildings, urban planning complexes, and settlements. His excellent knowledge of the subtleties of construction and finishing work allows him to bring his constructions in line with the concept to a logical conclusion.
Among the well-known buildings that have received public recognition is the building of the Frunze City Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan with a meeting hall in the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The main administrative building was constructed in 1969, and the meeting hall with auditoriums for political education was completed in 1975. According to the project by A. A. Golovanev, the Ministry of Internal Affairs building was constructed near the Frunze City Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan in the first half of the 70s. The two buildings—the city party committee and the Ministry of Internal Affairs—create a beautiful and cozy square on the northwest side of Kirov and Krasnooktabrskaya streets.
A significant contribution by this architect has been made to the development of the city of Naryn. In collaboration with A. T. Strizhachenko, he developed a detailed planning project for the center. According to this project, the construction of residential and public buildings in the central zone was organized, a city square was established, and approaches to the Naryn River were opened; a project for the development of the central square of the regional center is currently being developed. The space of the square is formed by three buildings of administrative bodies.

The dominant position in this structure is occupied by the building of the Naryn Regional Committee of the Party, facing south with its main facade. A monument to V. I. Lenin is installed along the central axis of the square. The good scale of the space, pleasant proportionality of divisions, and unity of color solution leave a lasting impression of this square.
The best projects by A. A. Golovachev have been awarded medals at the VDNH of the USSR. The House of Political Education in the city of Frunze was awarded a silver medal, and the administrative square in the city of Naryn received a bronze medal. For the design of individual objects, he was awarded the badge "Construction Excellence" in 1982. To promote architectural achievements and educate the public on construction and architecture issues, he has repeatedly published articles in the newspaper "Soviet Kyrgyzstan" about construction in the city of Naryn, the development of Lake Issyk-Kul, the preservation of historical buildings in the capital of the republic, and more. For a long time, he headed the commission for military patronage work through the Union of Architects.
A. A. Golovanov participated in republican competitions: in 1976, as part of the author team, he received I, II, and III prizes for the projects "Field Camps".
