Deimant Leonid Fedorovich
Painter. Honored Artist of the Kyrgyz SSR. A representative of the older generation of artists in Kyrgyzstan.
Contributed to the development of Kyrgyz painting with narrative-thematic works on historical and contemporary themes.
Born June 5, 1913, in Tashkent. Graduated from the Moscow Art School "In Memory of 1905" in 1939.
Since 1938 - member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
Participant in the Great Patriotic War. In the 1940s, he painted dozens of portraits of advanced collective farmers and landscape studies. From 1952 to 1954, he participated in the artistic design of the Kyrgyz State Opera and Ballet Theater.
Conducted pedagogical work at the Frunze Art School. Awarded two orders of the "Red Star," the medal "For the Capture of Budapest," the medals "20 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941—1945" and "25 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941—1945," the medal "For Valorous Labor. In Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of V. I. Lenin," and four Certificates of Honor from the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR.
Participant in republican, all-union, and international exhibitions. The artist's works are kept in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev, as well as in museums of the CIS.
