Zholchuev Duishon

Sculptor. Honored Worker of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic. Born on March 20, 1950, in the village of Padisha-Ata, Aksy District, Jalal-Abad Region. In 1970, he graduated from the Frunze Art School, and then in 1976 from the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture named after I.E. Repin. Since 1976, he has been working at the Art Fund of the Union of Artists of the Kyrgyz SSR.

Zholchuev works in monumental, decorative, and easel sculpture, striving to find a correspondence to the task in each individual case, taking into account the characteristics of materials and sculpting techniques (metal, chamotte, terracotta, stone).

Since 1979, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.

From 1987 to 1992, he was a member of the expert commission at the Ministry of Culture of the Kyrgyz SSR and the chairman of the Art Council of the Union of Artists of the Kyrgyz Republic. He is a participant in republican exhibitions and international sculpture symposiums.

Awarded with a Certificate of Honor from the Kyrgyz Republic.
