Imanalieva Nuriya Kizaevna

Graphic artist, painter, designer. Honored Worker of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic. Born in 1951 in the city of Frunze.

In 1971, she graduated from the Frunze Art School and in 1976 - from the Leningrad Higher Art School named after V. Mukhina (architectural faculty, department of "Interior and Exhibition Design"). She studied under professors: Ya.N. Lukin, I.D. Bilibin.

From 1977 to 1985 - teacher of special disciplines at the Kyrgyz State Art School named after S. A. Chuykov.

Since 1983 - member of the Union of Artists of the USSR and Kyrgyzstan.

At the beginning of her creative path, she created a series of graphic works: "Children of Kyrgyzstan" (1977), "Mirror" (1978), "Bazaar" (1980), "Window" (1983).

Imanalieva gained significant recognition for her series of works "Children of Kyrgyzstan," part of which was published by the "Soros-Kyrgyzstan" foundation as a wall calendar for 1997, posters, notebooks, and postcards.

Her most vivid and recognizable work is "Girls with a Dove" (1986). This piece, with its delicate and unique color palette, has become a symbol of Kyrgyzstan, a sort of "business card" of the country. In creating this work, Nuriya Imanalieva spent long months and years developing the compositional style, uniqueness, and originality of the images, finding the "golden mean" in both composition and color solution. The images of her girls and children, despite their apparent simplicity, convey the national color and cultural features of Kyrgyzstan.

Participant in republican, all-union, and international exhibitions.

Imanalieva's works are held in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts, the State Museum of the Peoples of the East (Moscow), the South Sakhalin State Museum of Arts (Russia); as well as in private collections in Kyrgyzstan and abroad.
