Koichiev Tursunbek Ormokoevich
Painter. People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic. Born on June 8, 1941, in the village of Sary-Bulak, Kalinin District.
In 1964, he graduated from the Frunze Art College.
His creative individuality was formed in the 1960s under the influence of the "harsh" style. Starting from the mid-1970s, he began to create paintings—landscapes in which reality is poetized by dreams. Spirituality, lyricism, subtle color, and a sense of the free breath of nature characterize the artist's best landscapes.
Since 1970, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the Kyrgyz SSR. Participant in republican and international exhibitions. Awarded the Silver Medal of the VDNH of the USSR.
His works are held in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev, and the Directorate of Exhibitions and Panoramas (Moscow).
