
Kalychbekov Erkin
Applied artist. Born in 1947 in the village of Kashka-Suu. In 1967, he graduated from the Frunze Art School, and then in 1975 - from the Leningrad Higher Art and Industrial School named after V.I. Mukhina.
From 1975 to 1978 - artist of the folk art crafts association "Kiyal", from 1978 to 1979 - artistic fund of the Kyrgyz SSR. From 1992 to 2005 - teacher of special disciplines at the Kyrgyz State University of Construction, Transport and Architecture.
Participant in international exhibitions, competitions, and fairs of industrial samples. Participant in international symposia on small ceramic plastic in Jurmala, Latvia (1977, 1980, 1985, 1990), Tashkent, Uzbekistan (1988, 1996); on stone - in Jambyl, Kazakhstan (1989). His works are stored in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev, the Kyrgyz Historical Museum, the Leningrad Higher Art and Industrial School named after V.I. Mukhina (Russian Federation), the Dresden Gallery (Germany), as well as in private collections in the CIS and abroad.
Since 1983 - member of the Union of Artists of the Kyrgyz Republic.
