
Obraztsov Vladimir Vitalievich
(1891 — 1934)Painter. Organizer of the first art circles in the republic. Participated in the organization of the Union of Artists of Kyrgyzstan. His creative legacy is one of the interesting pages of Kyrgyz visual art during its formation.
Born in Vologda in 1891. In 1919, he entered the Tashkent People's Art School, studying under A.V. Isupov and A.N. Volkov. In 1921, he moved to Pishpek (now Bishkek). Here he engaged in painting and collaborated with the first Kyrgyz newspapers and magazines. In 1927, he established an art studio at the Kyrgyz Institute of Enlightenment, which existed for three years. The studio was attended by talented Kyrgyz youth, including the first Kyrgyz artist G. Aitiev, and writers K. Djantošev and S. Sasykbaev.
Obraztsov's works are characterized by sharp compositional solutions and vibrant color decoration. In the last years of his life, the artist was actively involved in public activities. He was the deputy chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Union of Artists of Soviet Kyrgyzstan. He participated in the preparation of the I Republican Art Exhibition of 1934. His works are housed in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev.
