
Osmonov Ilyas
Jeweler. Honored Worker of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic. Born on July 12, 1940, in the village of Darkhan, Jeti-Oguz District, Issyk-Kul Region. Since 1971, he has been a jeweler at the Artistic Fund. In 1977, he graduated from the Architectural and Construction Faculty of the Frunze Polytechnic Institute.
Since 1990, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
Osmonov skillfully employs the best principles of folk art: decorative expressiveness of forms, ornamentation, utility, and the connection between material and technique.
Participant in republican exhibitions. His works are kept in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev and in private collections.
In 1986, he was awarded the Order of Labor Glory of the 3rd degree.
