
Torobekov Azim
(1948-1998)Painter. Honored Cultural Worker of the Kyrgyz Republic. Born on May 1, 1948, in the village of Bash-Badam, Lenin District, Osh Region. In 1968, he graduated from the Frunze Art College.
He worked at the Art Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic, then as a set designer at the "Kyrgyzfilm" studio.
Since 1973, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
He worked in easel painting and decorative art. In Torobekov's work, genre paintings occupy a central place, in which he depicts everyday themes from rural and urban life in the South.
Participant in republican, all-Union, and international exhibitions. Torobekov's works are housed in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev.
