Painter. Honored Worker of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic. Born on August 10, 1944, in the village of Kok-Moynok, Ton District, Issyk-Kul Region.

In 1972, he graduated from the Frunze Art College, specializing in artistic design. Since 1972, he has been an artist-designer for the Art Fund of the Kyrgyz SSR.

Since 1980, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.

Turpanov is a unique master of landscape painting. In each work, the artist creates an image of mountainous Kyrgyzstan, skillfully and keenly tracing the slightest folds of the mountains, uniting the sky and mountains in form and color into a powerful interconnected existence.

Participant in republican, all-union, and international exhibitions.

His works are held in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum of the Peoples of the East (Moscow), the A. Kasteev Museum (Almaty), as well as in private collections abroad.
