
Usubaliev Altymysh
(1930-1970)Painter. Born on December 12, 1930, in the village of Tokoldosh (now Sverdlovsky district of Bishkek). In 1953, he graduated from the Faculty of Painting of the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture named after I.E. Repin.
From 1953 to 1970, he taught at the Frunze Art School.
Since 1956, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
He entered the history of Kyrgyz art as a portraitist, creating a gallery of portraits of distinguished workers of the republic, figures of science and art, in which he reveals the various fates and characters of his contemporaries. In his best works, the artist achieved not only portrait likeness but also a figurative generalization of the traits of people of our time. Usubaliev was skilled in drawing and compositional techniques, and in a number of works, he also achieved painterly expressiveness of form.
Participant in republican and all-Union exhibitions.
Works by Usubaliev are kept in the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts.
Awarded the medal "For Labor Distinction" and a Certificate of Honor from the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR.
