Akynbekova Mederkul Bozgunchieva
Art historian. Born on May 18, 1949, in the village of Tort-Kul, Ton district, Issyk-Kul region.
In 1968, she graduated from the Frunze Art College, then from the Kyrgyz State Pedagogical University, Faculty of Russian Philology. In 1974, 1975, and 1977, she studied in courses for chief curators of art museums at the All-Union Institute for Advanced Training of Cultural Workers (Moscow).
Since 1970, she worked as the head of the graphics department at the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aitiev. In 2001, she became a senior lecturer and deputy director for art at the Academy of Arts of the Kyrgyz Republic. Since 2002, she has been an associate professor at the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razakov.
Since 199% she has been a member of the Union of Artists of the Kyrgyz Republic. She has been awarded a Certificate of Honor from the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR and Certificates of Honor from the Ministry of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic. Alongside her teaching activities, she conducts research work. She has published catalogs and albums and is the author of articles and television programs about visual arts.
