
Dzhergalbaev Murat Uzakovich
Cinematographer. Laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Prize of Kyrgyzstan (1977). Born on April 13, 1949, in the city of Frunze to a family of civil servants. In 1966, he entered the cinematography department of VGIK.
He was assigned to the "Kyrgyzfilm" studio in 1970. M. Dzhergalbaev worked extensively and productively in documentary cinema. The artistic council of the studio repeatedly noted the special issues of the newsreel "Soviet Kyrgyzstan," documentary essays, and films he shot. His films "On Kyrgyz Land" (1970), "Daughter of the Earth" (1974), "Ala-Too Salutation" (1975), "Spartakiad" (1977), "In the Year of the Restless Sun" (1977), and "Students" (1978) are marked by true cinematic culture.
The authorial works of M. Dzhergalbaev, "Guitar" (1971) and "If Your Name is Komsomol Member" (1975), received approval from the press and critics.
The talent of the young cinematographer was evident in his work on the feature films "Street" (1972) and "Kanybek" (1978) by G. Bazarov, where he successfully performed as a director of photography. In 1977, M. Dzhergalbaev was awarded the title of laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Prize of Kyrgyzstan for the film "In the Year of the Restless Sun."
