Production organizer. Born on July 16, 1933, in the village of Skrydlovshchina, Yartsevo District, Smolensk Region, into a peasant family. After graduating from high school in 1953, she entered the economics faculty of VGIK. In 1957, she was assigned to the "Kyrgyzfilm" studio as the director of a film.

During her over 20 years in this position, A. Komendantova grew into a highly qualified specialist in the production of documentary and popular science films. She led teams for such well-known films as "Artist Semyon Chuykov" (1962), "Three Answers to the Mountains" (1963), "Change" (1964), "Boomerang" (1965), "There, Beyond the Mountains, the Horizon" (1965), "Cape of the Chestnut Horse" (1966), "Chinghiz Aitmatov" (1968), "Pamir - the Roof of the World" (1969), "Summit" (1970), "Why the Award?" (1973), "Archa" (1975), "Shepherds" (1977), "Farewell, Mill" (1978), "Four Portraits" (1979).

In total, she directed over 30 films, consistently delivering them on time as per the scheduled production plan, with cost savings and receiving good and excellent quality ratings.

Awards — the medal "For Valorous Labor. In Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of V. I. Lenin" (1970). The badge "Excellence in Soviet Cinematography" (1970). Honorary certificate from the State Cinema of the Kyrgyz SSR "For Achievements in Socialist Competition. In Honor of the 60th Anniversary of the Great October" (1978).

Member of the USSR Union of Cinematographers since 1962.
