
Dzhamanbaev Akmatbek Sagynovich
Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Energy and Electrification of the USSR, Honored Worker of Public Education of the Kyrgyz SSR.
Born in 1933. In 1955, he graduated from the Kyrgyz Agricultural Institute.
He worked as the head of the department, dean, and then rector of the Frunze Polytechnic Institute, and director of the Institute for the Comprehensive Use of Natural Resources of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR.
He was a prominent scientist in the field of rational use of thermal energy resources in Kyrgyzstan. With his participation and scientific guidance, a new technology was developed for the production of smokeless, water-resistant, and heat-resistant coal briquettes, as well as for obtaining energy and technological gases from Kyrgyz coals. He made significant contributions to the development of the theory and technology of rational use of coals in the republic and other energy sources. He was a compiler of terms for the Kyrgyz Encyclopedia.
He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, Honorary Certificates from the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR, and medals.
Under his supervision, 2 doctoral and more than 10 candidate dissertations were defended.
He published over 200 scientific works, including 7 monographs, and is the author of 9 inventions.
