Mikhail Isaakovich Kitaev

Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Honored Scientist of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Born in 1926. Graduated from the Kyrgyz State Medical Institute in 1948.

Currently works as the head of the immunology genetics laboratory at the M. Mirrakhimov National Center for Cardiology and Therapy.

A leading specialist in the field of immunology and pathological physiology. Organizer of the republican scientific society of immunologists and allergologists. One of the founders of the ecological direction in immunology. His main research focuses on the immunological mechanisms of adaptation and maladaptation to high-altitude hypoxia, clinical immunology, and immunogenetics of lung and cardiovascular diseases.

Under his supervision, 10 doctoral and 47 candidate dissertations have been defended.

Published over 500 scientific works, including 16 monographs and a textbook, and is the author of 15 inventions.
