Kononov Viktor Sergeyevich

Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Honored Doctor of the Kyrgyz SSR, Honored Figure of Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Born in 1922. In 1950, he graduated from the Kyrgyz State Medical Institute.

Worked as the head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery at the Kyrgyz Research Institute of Obstetrics and Pediatrics, and as the head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery at the KSMI.

Specialist in pediatric surgery, thoracic surgery, traumatology, and orthopedics. All his inventions have been implemented in practical healthcare in Kyrgyzstan.

Awarded the “Dank” medal, orders of the Great Patriotic War, Red Star, medals of the USSR, and Honorary Certificates from the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR.

Under his guidance, 2 doctoral and 32 candidate dissertations have been defended.

Published over 300 scientific works, including 3 monographs, 5 textbooks, and educational-methodical manuals, and is the author of 9 inventions.
