Candidate of Chemical Sciences. Born in 1937. Graduated from the Chemical Technology Faculty of the Frunze Polytechnic Institute in 1959.

Area of scientific research - studying the chemical and technological properties of coals and the reactivity of humic acids from deposits in Kyrgyzstan; mechanisms of kinetics and physicochemical patterns of thermal and oxidative destruction processes of coals; development of processes for directed thermocatalytic modification of organic matter in coals to obtain high-yield benzene polycarboxylic acids; investigation of the reactivity of humic acids in acylation reactions of aromatic and aliphatic amines; studying the influence of natural factors on the transformation of the structure and properties of humic acids in coals, which are of great importance in the development of humification theory and in the development of technologies for producing humic fertilizers and growth and development stimulators for plants.

The results of the research were used to draft GOSTs "Brown Coals. Classification," "Hard Coals. Classification."

A summary of scientific works has been published in the form of monographs "Chemistry of Mellitic Acid and Its Derivatives," "Pyromellitic Acid and Its Derivatives from Thermally Treated Coals of Kyrgyzstan," "Humic Acids and Their Significance." Based on aromatic and humic acids obtained from coal, methods for synthesizing about 100 new derivatives have been developed, many of which possess high physiological activity and low toxicity, as well as ion-exchange preparations with amphoteric properties.

A hypothesis has been proposed regarding the causes of the physiological activity of humic acids.

Published 174 scientific articles, including 4 monographs. Holds 17 patents and author certificates.
