Born in 1947. Graduated in 1972 from the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute.
Currently serves as the Rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
A leading specialist in the field of rock mechanics and explosive works. His research has focused on explosive work technologies in mineral extraction.
Laureate of the State Prize of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of science and technology (1998).
Awarded the Orders of "Friendship" (Russia, 2004), "Danaker" (Kyrgyzstan, 2007), "Peter the Great" (Russia, 2007).
Member of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Under his supervision, 1 doctoral and 2 candidate dissertations have been defended.
Published 90 scientific works, author of 28 inventions.

2. Method for detecting defect locations in steel cables. Preliminary patent KR No. 481, 2001.
