Kholodov Vadim Vladimirovich
Candidate of Technical Sciences. Born in 1926. Graduated from the Moscow Electromechanical Institute of Transport Engineers.
Currently, he works as the head of the laboratory for overhead line structures at the Kyrgyz Scientific and Technical Center for Energy (KNTs "Energia").
His research on improving the reliability of overhead power lines under extreme natural conditions has led to a number of results that have been included in the Rules for the Installation of Electrical Equipment (PUE-87) and Construction Norms and Rules (SNiP and P KR 20-01-99). He conducts developments and tests of new design solutions that enhance the reliability of power line operation under wind and icing conditions.
His inventions have been implemented at the Sayano-Shushenskaya Hydroelectric Power Station - Abakan, and at research stations in the Tian Shan mountains.
He has published more than 60 scientific works, is the author of 12 inventions, 7 of which have been implemented on operating power lines and at research stations.
Main inventions:
1. Device for registering wire vibrations. Author's certificate No. 1424677, 1988.
2. Method for installing phase wires split into three wires. Author's certificate No. 1545278, 1989.
3. Method for comparative testing of intra-phase distance spacers for damping capacity. Author's certificate No. 1598008, 1990.
