Engelsht Vladimir Semyonovich
Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Full Member of the Engineering Academy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Laureate of the State Prize of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of science and technology, Honored Figure of Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Born in 1931. In 1954, he graduated from the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of the Kyrgyz State University.
His main scientific research focuses on physical studies of plasma devices for spectral analysis, coating application, stabilization of the dust-gas jet in the theory and computer modeling of electric arcs, barrier discharges, generation and application of ozone, and processing of monolithic, dispersed, liquid, and gaseous substances. He developed the theory of the electric arc column, methods for diagnosing plasma flows, and mathematical processing of experiments. He introduced single-channel and dual-stream plasma torches, a plasma igniter for energy boilers, methods for spectral analysis of coating application, and developed an ozonator and a method for ozone disinfection of grain during storage.
Awarded the bronze medal of the VDNH of the USSR.
Holder of the Gold Medal of the World Intellectual Property Organization.
Published more than 317 scientific works, 14 monographs, and is the author of 43 inventions.
