
Kamyshev Alexander Mikhailovich
Born in 1953 in Kemerovo region.
In 1975, he graduated from Tomsk Polytechnic Institute, specializing in "Technology and Techniques of Mineral Deposits Exploration."
Until 1993, he worked at the Institute of Engineering Surveys Kyrgyz GIIIZ as the head of a drilling team, later becoming an expert in an antique salon.
In 2002, he published the monograph "Early Medieval Coin Complex of Semirechye" and defended his PhD dissertation in two specialties: "National History" and "Archaeology." As the author of the text and idea, he participated in the National Bank's project to publish the album "Numismatic Heritage of Kyrgyzstan." In 2003, he co-authored the book "Currency of Kyrgyzstan: History and Modernity." In 200X, he published a textbook "Introduction to Numismatics of Kyrgyzstan," and also prepared the text for the book "Departmental Awards of Sovereign Kyrgyzstan" (2009) and a chapter on the coinage of Kyrgyzstan in the collection "Artistic Culture of Central Asia and Azerbaijan IX - XV centuries," published in 2012 by the International Institute of Central Asian Studies in Samarkand. In 2013, his monograph "Hoards of Copper Coins of the Timurids and Shaybanids" was published there as well.
Kamyshev A.M. is the author of over 200 popular articles in the local press about coin and archaeological finds and forty scientific articles published in Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Russia.
