Abramzon Saul Mendelevich (1905-1977), Doctor of Historical Sciences (1968)

Jewish. Born in St. Petersburg. Graduated from Leningrad State University (1926).

Worked as the director of the Kyrgyz State Museum, deputy director of the Research Institute of Local Lore under the Council of People's Commissars of Kyrgyzstan, director of the Research Institute of Cultural Construction under the People's Commissariat of Education, and a research associate at the Kyrgyz branch of the Institute of Language, Literature, and History of the USSR Academy of Sciences.

Specialist in the field of ethnography. Awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor. More than 100 scientific works published.
