Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Karago, Kant District, Chui Region.
Graduated from KGMI (1977), postgraduate studies there as well. Worked as an assistant, associate professor at KGMI, chairman of the Committee for Health Protection, Education, and Social Issues, since 1989 - head of the department at KGMA.
Specialist in immunology and microbiology. Academician of the Russian Academy of Medical and Technical Sciences (1999). Honored Scientist of the Kyrgyz Republic (1988). Laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Prize of the Kirghiz SSR (1985).
Published more than 130 scientific works, including 3 monographs, 10 textbooks and teaching aids, 10 inventions, 5 patents of the Russian Federation.
Under his supervision, 2 doctoral and 9 candidate dissertations have been defended.
