Born in the village of Ugut, Ak-Tal District. Graduated from the Kyrgyz Agricultural Institute. Worked as a research associate, director of a breeding station, deputy minister of agriculture, secretary of the district committee, rector of the Kyrgyz Agricultural Institute, director of the Institute of Soil Science, chairman of the Republican Center for Scientific Support of the Agricultural Sector of the Kyrgyz Republic, chairman of the Kyrgyz branch of the All-Union Academy of Agricultural Sciences named after Lenin, General Director of the Kyrgyz Scientific and Production Association for Agriculture, President of the Kyrgyz Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and since 2001, director of the Kyrgyz Research Institute of Agriculture.
Specialist in the field of agriculture. Academician of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences (1992). Awarded the Orders of Lenin, the October Revolution, the Red Banner of Labor (2), "Manas" of the III degree, and medals of the USSR. Honored Worker of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic (1993), Honored Figure of Science of the Kyrgyz SSR. Laureate of the International Award for Spiritual Revival "Rukhaniyat" (1998). More than 200 scientific works published. Under his supervision, 4 doctoral and 10 candidate dissertations have been defended.
