Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Shabdan, Kemin District, Chui Region. Graduated from KSU (1953). Worked as a lecturer at OGPI, Deputy Head of the Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan, Chairman of the Committee on Press, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Kyrgyz SSR, Senior Researcher, Head of Sector and Department, Director of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic. Specialist in the history of Kyrgyzstan in the 20th century.
Honored Worker of Science of the Kyrgyz Republic (1993). More than 150 scientific works published. Under his supervision, 2 doctoral and 10 candidate dissertations were defended.
