Kyrgyz. Born in Frunze. Graduated from Voronezh State University (1974), postgraduate studies at Moscow State University (1978), doctoral studies at Kyrgyz National University (1996). Worked as a teacher, senior teacher, associate professor, head of the department, dean of the Faculty of Russian Philology at Kyrgyz National University, and since 2002 - professor at the Manas University.
Specialist in the field of comparative linguistics. Published more than 50 scientific works, including 1 monograph.
