Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Kichi-Kemin, Kemin District, Chui Region.
Graduated from Tashkent State Institute of Arts (1955), postgraduate studies at the Institute of Art of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1961). Worked as the director of the Republican House of Folk Art, Chief Director of the Issyk-Kul Drama Theater, Deputy Chairman and Director of the House of Actors of the Kyrgyz Theater Society, Researcher at the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR, Head of the Department at OGP Institute, Associate Professor at the B. Beishenaliev Kyrgyz State Institute of Arts.
Specialist in the field of theater studies.
Published over 100 scientific works, including 10 books.
