Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Budalyk, Aksy District, Osh Region.
Graduated from Osh State Pedagogical Institute (Osh, 1962), postgraduate studies at the Institute of Botany and Microbiology of the Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR (Tashkent, 1973).
Worked as a school teacher, lecturer, senior lecturer, associate professor, head of the department, and since 2000 - director of the Institute for Advanced Studies of Osh State University.
Specialist in the field of botany and general ecology.
Honored Worker of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic (1997). Published more than 70 scientific works, including 2 monographs, 4 textbooks, and teaching aids.
