Kyrgyz. Born in the city of Karakol, Issyk-Kul region.
Graduated from KGU (1957), postgraduate studies at the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1962).
Worked as a teacher, junior and senior researcher at the Institute of Biology of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR, head of the department at KGNU, acting director, and since 1999 - director of the BPI of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Specialist in the field of entomology (parasitic insects) and zoology (mallophaga of birds in Central Asia).
Awarded medals of the USSR.
Honored Scientist of the Kyrgyz Republic (1993). More than 130 scientific works published, including 4 monographs.
Under his supervision, 5 candidate dissertations have been defended.
