Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences (1964), Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR (1984), Professor (1968), Laureate of the State Prize of the USSR (1953)

Russian. Born in the village of Tantsyrey, Borisoglebsky District, Voronezh Region, Russian Federation.

Graduated from the Moscow Geological Exploration Institute (1938).

Worked as a geologist in the "Arcticugol" trust in Spitsbergen, Chief Geologist, Head of the Department of the Kyrgyz Geological Administration, Head of the Sector of the Institute of Geology, Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR, Director, and since 1992 - Chief Scientific Consultant of the Institute of Geology of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR.

Specialist in the field of coal geology.

Awarded the Orders of Lenin, the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, the Badge of Honor (2), medals of the USSR, and Honorary Certificates from the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR. Honored Worker of Science of the Kyrgyz Republic (1993). Published more than 60 scientific works, including 7 monographs.

Under his supervision, 1 doctoral and 5 candidate dissertations were defended.
