Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Beru-Bash, Aksuysky District, Issyk-Kul Region.
Graduated from the Kirgosped Institute (1941), Moscow AON (1950), postgraduate studies at the Institute of Language and Literature of the Academy of Sciences of the Kirghiz SSR (1947).
Worked as an inspector at the Ministry of Education of the Kirghiz SSR, deputy head of the district education department, head of the department at the Institute of Language and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Specialist in the field of literary studies and literary criticism.
Awarded the Orders of the Red Banner of Labor, Badge of Honor, and medals of the USSR. Honored Worker of Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Published over 100 scientific works, including 10 monographs and books.
