Kyrgyz. Born in the city of Frunze.

Graduated from Novosibirsk State University (Novosibirsk, 1980), postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Physics and Technology (1985).

Worked as a junior researcher, head of the laboratory, senior researcher, leading researcher at the Faculty of Physics and Technology, senior researcher, head of the laboratory at the Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, professor at Osaka University (Japan), vice-rector for science and external relations, and since 1997 - president-rector of the Academy of Management under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Specialist in the field of holography and optical information processing, optics, and laser material processing.

Laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Prize of Kyrgyzstan in the field of science and technology (1985). More than 100 scientific works published, including 2 inventions.

Under his supervision, 2 candidate dissertations have been defended.
