Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Kurtka, Ak-Tala District, Naryn Region. Graduated from FPI (1958).
Worked as a geologist, head of a team, senior geologist, head of geological parties at the Geological Management, chairman of the RKPP of geological exploration works, chief geologist of the Geological Management of the Kyrgyz SSR, head of the geological and economic research expedition of the State Agency for Geology of the Kyrgyz Republic, head of the department, professor at KGMI, head of the expert department of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic, and since 1996 - rector of KGMI.
Specialist in the field of geology and metallogeny, as well as environmental protection.
Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic (1993), MIA (1999), MANEB (1998).
Awarded the Order of the "Badge of Honor" (1976), medals of the USSR, diploma of "Outstanding Engineer of the 20th Century".
Laureate of the Academic Prize of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic named after I.K. Akhunbaev. Honored Geologist of the Kyrgyz SSR (1985).
Published more than 400 scientific works, including 15 monographs and 3 textbooks.
Under his supervision, 5 candidate dissertations have been defended.
