Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Onbir-Dzhilga, Chui region. Graduated from KSU (1976).
Worked as a scientific editor at the Main Editorial Office of the Kyrgyz Soviet Encyclopedia, lecturer, senior lecturer, head of the department at the Kyrgyz Agricultural Institute, head of the department at the Kyrgyz Institute of Education, and since 1998 - Professor at KTU "Manas".
Specialist in the history of Kyrgyzstan and political science.
Published more than 200 scientific works, including 7 monographs, 5 textbooks, and 15 teaching aids.
Under his supervision, 5 candidate dissertations have been defended.
