Russian. Born in the village of Abryutkovo, Moscow region.
Graduated from Leningrad State University (Leningrad, 1949).
Worked as a lecturer at higher military schools, research associate at the Central State Archive of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (Leningrad), junior, senior, and leading research associate at the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Kirghiz SSR.
Specialist in the history of Kyrgyzstan from the 13th to the 18th centuries.
Awarded medals of the USSR.
