Russian. Born in the city of Tselinograd, Kazakh SSR.

Graduated from the historical and philological faculties of KSU (1961).

Worked as a research associate, deputy director of the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences, academic secretary of the Presidium, deputy academic secretary of the Academy Division, and since 1993 - Vice President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Specialist in the field of pre-revolutionary history of Kyrgyzstan.

Awarded the Honorary Certificate and Certificate of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR.

Honored Worker of Science of the Kyrgyz Republic (1995).

Published over 100 scientific works, including 10 monographs and 20 books, educational manuals.

Under his supervision, 1 doctoral and 10 candidate dissertations have been defended.
