Russian. Born in the city of Lebedyn in the Lipetsk region.

Graduated from the Leningrad Mining Institute (1930), postgraduate studies at the Geological Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1935).

Worked as the head of a geological exploration party, head of the geological sector for mineral resources, and the sector for non-ferrous metals at the Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals in Leningrad, director, senior researcher, deputy director, head of the lithology and sedimentary ore formation sector at the Institute of Geology of the Academy of Sciences of the Kirghiz SSR.

Specialist in general and regional geology.

Awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor, medals of the USSR, and certificates of appreciation from the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR and the Kirghiz SSR.

Published over 50 scientific works, including 9 monographs.

Under his supervision, 2 doctoral and 8 candidate dissertations were defended.
