Jewish. Born in the city of Berdyansk, Zaporizhia region, Ukrainian SSR.
Graduated from Irkutsk Polytechnic Institute (1962), postgraduate studies at the Institute of Geology of the Academy of Sciences of the Kirghiz SSR (1968).
Worked as a milling machine operator at a factory, mining master in the exploration department of the Indigirka Mining Industry Administration of the Yakut Economic Council, geological engineer, senior geological engineer at the Kyrgyzgiproselstroy Institute, junior researcher, senior researcher at the Institute of Geology of the Academy of Sciences of the Kirghiz SSR, senior lecturer, associate professor at FPI, and since 1996 - professor at KG-MI.
Specialist in general and regional geology.
Published more than 60 scientific works, including 2 monographs.
