Russian. Born in Frunze.
Graduated from KSHI (1961), postgraduate studies at the Institute of Biology of the Academy of Sciences of the Kirghiz SSR (1965).
Worked as a laboratory assistant, junior and senior research fellow at the Institute of Biology of the Academy of Sciences of the Kirghiz SSR, and since 1981 - head of the laboratory of BPI of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Specialist in entomology, insect systematics, ecology, zoology, biocenology, and plant protection from harmful insects.
Published over 60 scientific works, including 7 monographs.
Under his supervision, 1 doctoral and 4 candidate dissertations have been defended.
