Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Zhatcy-Bazar, Chatkal District, Jalal-Abad Region.
Graduated from the Moscow Forestry Technical Institute (1973), postgraduate studies there (1979), doctoral studies at the Moscow State University of Forestry (1993).
Worked as an engineer, research associate at the Institute of Biology of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR, senior lecturer, chairman of the combined trade union committee of the Osh State Pedagogical Institute, associate professor, head of the department at Osh State University, rector, and since 2000 - dean of Osh Technical University.
Specialist in the field of general ecology, plant protection, and forestry.
Academician of the International Academy of Ecology and Safety of Human Vital Activity (1999).
Published more than 100 scientific works, including 4 monographs and 2 textbooks.
Under his supervision, 5 candidate dissertations have been defended.
