Doctor of Historical Sciences (1968), Professor (1982), Laureate of the State Prize of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of Science and Technology (1970)

Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Chon-Aryk, Moscow District, Chui Region.

Graduated from KGPU (1947), postgraduate studies at the Institute of Language and Literature of the Kyrgyz Academy of Sciences (1951).

Worked as a research associate, director of the historical museum, head of a sector, head of a department, and since 1988 - leading research associate at the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR.

Specialist in the history of Kyrgyzstan in the 19th - early 20th centuries (pre-revolutionary period). Awarded the USSR medal.

Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the Kyrgyz Republic (1991).

Published over 200 scientific works, including 15 monographs.

Under his supervision, 2 doctoral and 8 candidate dissertations were defended.
