Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Chychyrganak in the Soviet (now Kara-Kulzhinsky) district of Osh region.
Graduated from the historical faculty of KGU (1965), postgraduate studies at the Academy of Social Sciences under the Central Committee of the CPSU (Moscow, 1978).
Worked as a school teacher, lecturer at technical schools, KGU, head of the department of the Talas regional committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan, chief editor of the theoretical journal "Communist of Kyrgyzstan," "Political Tribune," head of the department at BGU, dean of OshGU, vice-rector of JAGU, and since 2001 - dean of OshTU.
Specialist in the history of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Awarded medals of the USSR, the Order of the Badge of Honor (1981).
Published over 100 scientific works, including 6 monographs and 3 textbooks.
Under his supervision, 4 candidate dissertations have been defended.
