German. Born in Frunze.
Graduated from KSU (1954), postgraduate studies there (1960).
Worked as an assistant, senior lecturer at KSU, research fellow, head of the laboratory at the Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, since 1999 - head of the department at ISU. Specialist in the field of low-temperature plasma physics and atomic spectroscopy. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic (1999).
Published more than 300 scientific works, including 12 monographs, 50 author's certificates, and patents.
Under his supervision, 4 doctoral and 22 candidate dissertations have been defended.
