Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Uch-Uruk, Kemin District, Chuy Region.
Graduated from the Workers' Faculty, the Historical and Economic Faculty of the Moscow Pedagogical Institute, and the three-year translator courses at the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks), and the Higher Party School.
Worked in the People's Education Commissariat of the Kirghiz SSR, as an editor for the Kyrgyz publishing house “Vedomosti of the Supreme Soviet,” deputy editor of a newspaper, Minister of Education, Rector of KGU, Head of Department, Professor at KGU, Senior Researcher of the “Manas” sector at the Academy of Sciences of the Kirghiz SSR.
Specialist in the field of linguistics, history of the Kyrgyz language, dialectics, and literary writing of the Kyrgyz language.
Linguist, Turkologist.
Awarded the Orders of the Red Star and the Badge of Honor, medals of the USSR, Honored Worker of Science of the Kirghiz SSR (1963).
Laureate of the K.Tynystanov Prize (posthumously, 1996).
Published more than 110 scientific works.
